CCDD 022011—Ritual of Corruption

Classic Cool Card Design of the Day
What follows is a CCDD that was created before the feature transitioned from the Wizards Wiki to Goblin Artisans. It has been formatted to fit your screen.

2/20/2011 - The idea behind Ritual of Corruption is that you're mummifying everything that dies and the more things that die, the stronger your mummies grow. Perhaps it should put counters on all your skeletons each turn (Mummy is currently only an 'Un' creature type). I kind of like that you usually get one 'boss' mummy and a bunch of mummy flunkies, though.

This trigger should probably require a cost (B or maybe 1B) so that your opponent can catch you in a shields-down moment. Otherwise Ritual of Corruption surely needs to cost more or gain a drawback. It's like a less predictable Bitterblossom and that's dangerous territory.

The only other thing worth noting is how I had to avoid putting the +1/+1 counter on a "target" skeleton as the entire ability would be countered for lack of legal targets if your skeleton died or you didn't already have some. Awkward. (That's another argument for putting the counter on "all skeleton creatures you control," since that reads better.)

Updated as Embalm them All.
